The catalyst calendar: what is scheduled to happen at Dholera, and when
Published 3 August 2026. Facts verified to 27 July 2026 unless dated otherwise.
Corridors move in lurches, and the lurches have dates. This is the forward calendar of every dated Dholera milestone on the record, with what each one would actually prove when it lands, or teach if it slips.
What this page establishes
- Window one: airport operations, September to October 2026 TARGET
- Window two: commercial production, mid-2028 TARGET
- Window three: solar Phase 1, March 2027 TARGET
- Window four: the 2028 cluster TARGET REPORTED
- Window five: rail, 2030-31 TARGET
Five dated windows define Dholera's next five years: airport operations (Sept-Oct 2026 target), fab fab commercial production (mid-2028 guidance), solar Phase 1 completion (Mar 2027 target), fab commercial production plus reported data centre operations (~2028), and the rail link (2030-31 target).
Window one: airport operations, September to October 2026 TARGET
The nearest test. The trial landing is banked DURABLE, the Phase 1 build is costed at ~Rs 1,305 crore DURABLE, and the operations date is the corridor's next public exam. Landing it proves the delivery machine still runs; the prize is air cargo for the industrial base, as the cargo file argues, plus the precondition for the Embraer possibility REPORTED.
Window two: commercial production, mid-2028 TARGET
The defining one. Wafers through the line at the Tata + PSMC fab would convert India's five-decade fab ambition into a physical fact and validate the entire policy stack in one event. Slippage by a quarter would be normal for the industry; the record will report either without cushioning, because this date is the one the whole corridor is silently priced on.
Window three: solar Phase 1, March 2027 TARGET
The quiet checkpoint: 700 MW under development DURABLE completing the 1,000 MW Phase 1. Less headline, high signal, because it is the milestone with the cleanest official paper trail, a CEACentral Electricity Authority: the official logger of power projects under development. log, and therefore the purest test of whether logged schedules hold at Dholera.
Window four: the 2028 cluster TARGET REPORTED
Commercial fab production TARGET is the business test after the engineering test: yields, customers, volumes. Around it sit the reported operations horizon of the L&T Vyoma data centre REPORTED and the Embraer horizon REPORTED. By 2028 the announced layer must have started converting or started expiring; the quarterly State of Dholera will have tracked which, edition by edition.
Window five: rail, 2030-31 TARGET
Rs 20,667 crore, cleared DURABLE on the clearance. The rail file explains why this is the demographic milestone: commuting mass is what turns an industrial park into a city, and the early 2030s is when Dholera's population story gets its infrastructure.
How to use the calendar
Three disciplines. First, date your thesis: know which windows your position actually depends on, per the decision framework. Second, watch the scoreboard, not the coverage: every window above sits on the promise vs delivery ledger and gets scored when it closes, and the scored record, five delivered since 2024 DURABLE, is the only forecast-quality data this market has. Third, treat slippage as information rather than betrayal: corridors that publish dates and mostly land them are rare enough that the honest response to a slipped quarter is recalibration, not conversion to cynicism. The calendar is the story. Everything else is commentary on it.
