The power file: Dholera's electricity story, documented edge to documented edge
Published 3 August 2026. Facts verified to 27 July 2026 unless dated otherwise.
Power is where industrial marketing gets loosest, because everyone needs it and few readers audit it. This file holds only what Dholera's power story can document, and names what it cannot.
What this page establishes
- The generation ledger
- The demand side taking shape
- What is not documented, listed as policy
- Why the gaps are stated rather than smoothed
Dholera's solar Phase 1 targets 1,000 MW: about 300 MW is operational (Tata Power Solar) and 700 MW is under development by ReNew, SJVN, Vena and TEQ Green with GPCL as agency, logged by the CEACentral Electricity Authority: the official logger of power projects under development. with a March 2027 target.
The generation ledger
Operational: ~300 MW of solar, commissioned by Tata Power Solar DURABLE. In development: 700 MW across four named developers, logged in a Central Electricity Authority quarterly report with a March 2027 target DURABLE on the award and log, TARGET on the date. Target: the 1,000 MW Phase 1 envelope TARGET. This is an unusually clean generation paper trail for an Indian greenfield, officialdom's own documents rather than corridor marketing, and the energy guide reads its strategic weight for fabs and data centres.
The demand side taking shape
The loads the generation will meet are themselves documented: a 300mmThe industry-standard large wafer size used by modern commercial fabs, including Dholera's. fab is a continuous heavy consumer by nature DURABLE on the fab's build, the reported L&T Vyoma campus specifies 250 MW by itself REPORTED, and the wider data centre pipeline is effectively a queue of gigawatt-scale power appetites REPORTED. Dholera's power planning is therefore not build-and-hope; it is generation racing named demand, which is the healthy version of the problem.
What is not documented, listed as policy
- Industrial tariff schedules for Dholera plots: obtain in writing from DICDLDholera Industrial City Development Ltd: the SPV building infrastructure (Gujarat 51%, Centre 49%). for a specific parcel, as the occupant file insists; third-party tariff tables without dated official sources are decoration REPORTED at best.
- Grid integration detail: substation capacities, transmission build-out schedules and redundancy architecture at plot level are not in this record's sources, so they are not on this page.
- Firming arrangements: how solar variability is firmed for continuous industrial loads, storage, grid draw, contracts, is a system-design fact this record has not seen published at Dholera specificity, and fabricating it would be exactly the sin this file exists to refuse.
Why the gaps are stated rather than smoothed
Because power claims are the classic vector for corridor over-promising, and because the documented core is strong enough not to need embroidery: megawatts on the ground, megawatts in official logs, and anchor demand with names attached DURABLE. A reader planning real load should treat this page as the verified floor, direct the unpublished questions to DICDL in writing per the verification map, and price any smooth answer found elsewhere accordingly. When the unpublished items gain dated sources, tariff cards, substation specifics, firming contracts, this file will carry them within the monthly ledger cycle, which is a promise the scoreboard lets you audit.
